What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
What motivates me about being a motivator is seeing first-hand the platform for growth that our studio offers. Spin has never been about pushing pedals for me, and it’s clear that our family is dedicated to wellness and happiness beyond spin classes; it’s always about putting one foot in front of the other. Where else do you get to share a space with a room full of people all moving towards the same goal? There is nothing more motivating (and humbling) than being part of someone’s smile. Every week I look forward to shakin’ the sh*t outta those four walls with a dedicated crew willing to step outside their comfort zone to make something amazing happen.
How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
I love to party on the bike; expect high energy remixes ranging from hip-hop and rap to 90’s pop and Y2K classics. There are a few four letter words that come to mind when I think of my class and r-e-s-t isn’t one of them. I love HIITs and fast climbs, but I’m always on the lookout for a dramatic drop – just to keep you guessing – so we can grind it out in a heavy seated climb. There are no short cuts here, we just plain ol’ give’r, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I have a tattoo of the Deathly Hallows on my right forearm; magic exists, I swear.
