What motivates you about being a motivator?

They say to follow your passion and you’ll find your purpose. Being a Motivator IS my purpose. It's not even about spin. It’s so much more. Spin has become an accessory to what happens in that room and beyond it's doors. Spin has become a platform for so much; Positivity, Passion, Motivation, Overcoming, Betterment, Community, Authenticity and simply Happiness! Not just for me, but for every member of the biker gang who has ever sat down on the bike with me. We are on a journey together to overcome physical and mental changes and challenges, and I'm right there beside you every step of the way. We are all confined by the walls we have built ourselves. Let's break them down and strive for greatness together. We can. We will.

How would you describe one of your style of classes at YYC?

One of my classes is like walking into a Night Club in Las Vegas with spin bikes in the room! The lights, sounds and energy are electric. The tracks will have you rocking to remixes of everything from Jay-Z with Stevie Wonder, to Mumford and Sons mixed with ACDC. We’ll push ourselves to our limits, dripping with sweat, and find out just how strong we are together. You are always stronger than you think you are.... BRING IT!

Comedy or Horror Movie?

Comedy for sure!

What is your favorite quote?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
- Marianne Williamson

What motivates you about being a motivator?
Teaching spin is one of the most positive things in my life. I love the people, the energy and I love being able to make a difference in someone’s day. When someone comes out of class and says “ I needed that” or tells me that something I said made them motivated- there is no better feeling. The challenges you overcome on the bike set you up for how you take on challenges in your life. Confidence to reach your goals and overcome anything life throws at you starts with the buzz you get when you crush a class.

How would you describe one of your style of classes at YYC?
I spread passion, good vibes and dedication into everything I do and I’ll make sure you bring that into every class. My approach to teaching is commanding and motivational -we can all push ourselves that little bit further when someone encourages you to break through your limits. Amazing things happen outside your comfort zone and I want to help guide you there. You can expect a remixed track by Notorius B.I.G and some high energy house beats.

What motivates you about being on the YYC CYCLE Crew?
One of the most powerful things a person can do is motivate, encourage and uplift others to be the best versions of themselves. At YYC Cycle I am able to fulfill that aspiration every time I walk through the doors. Being granted the ability to work and meet new people in a positive and electric atmosphere is my biggest motivating force. I enjoy surrounding myself with the type of people that ignite a fire within me and in return I hope I can spark a flame within them. For me, the biggest success is being able to grow and learn each day, being pushed mentally and physically and most of all just having fun making the best of every day!

All of you, my wonderful Bikergang.

These powerful 50 minutes we will share together will help you leave your worries at the door!

Imagine I’m your partner in crime at the club getting you to do a dance up on the bar, or talk to that person you’ve been crushing on - or maybe dirty dance with them. #mischief

What motivates me about being a motivator?
I have never had more fun working out than when on the bike. The rhythm, the passion, the group energy, the challenge and the community… it is all of the above and more. The adrenaline I get when spinning is incredible, I have never walked out of a spin class without a smile… and I am always looking forward to the next time in that room or out on my bike… if I didn’t RIDE to class :D

Now if I can connect with other people and make them feel the same way, it doubles that happiness. The energy in the room is incredibly powerful, positivity is infectious(in the most positive sense of the word) so thanks to everyone! See you in class.

How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
Beat-bumpin’ Energy Overload((in the most positive sense of the word). I like to think that no matter who you are or what kind of a day you are having before class there will always be at least one song that you will be able to groove out completely to… ideally all of them though :) I like to think that « my » class is really « our » class and so I try to make my playlists relatively varied.
From old school hip hop to real nasty house to Beyoncé?… whatever gets me hyped up

What is your favorite food or drink in the whole world?
A really fresh espresso and a square of chocolate…. I love chocolate…
