What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
That moment when you’re in a spin class - the music drops, the words hit just right and you get goose bumps, smile, tear up, or are overcome with the urge to “woo”! Those are the kinds of moments that not only drove me to want to be a Motivator, but also helped me through some of the toughest times in my own life. I want to create those moments for the people in my class, to push them past their physical and mental limits whether it’s their best or worst day.

How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
My classes have a mix of EDM, hip hop, throwbacks, oldies, songs to get lost in, songs to sing along to, and songs that make you feel like a badass! It’s a high- energy, challenging dance party that will make you laugh, cheer, and most importantly sweat. I know that everyone’s best looks and feels different on any given day; my goal is to make sure you surpass what you feel your best is every damn time!

What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people try to take and/or share my food. Especially if it’s dessert, or bacon...savage.

How do you turn a bad day around?
Baked goods and some aggressive party rap. If all else fails, take a nap and start over.

What motivates me about being a motivator?
The idea of helping others discover their inner greatness is my greatest passion. Everyone has so much potential hidden inside of them, and when it is finally released, anything is possible!

How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
In 4 simple words.... A Positivity Pump Up.

What is your favorite part of living in Calgary?
The day I realized going to the mountains didn’t have to be a voyage as much as a quick daily adventure was the day living in Calgary became the biggest blessing ever. Calgary is such an amazing city if you truly take the time to discover everything and everyone that makes it so special.

What is your biggest life obstacle?
Learning to have faith in patience.

What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
People and Passion! I think each person brings something truly unique to the table and we can learn a great deal from each other. Having the tremendous opportunity to connect with the amazing people that are part of the Bikergang, and sharing in their stories, inspiration, challenges, and successes, is so unbelievably exciting!! The YYC Cycle class experience has had an incredible impact in my life and has ignited a passion in me that I cannot wait to set afire!
How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
High energy, intense, exciting, challenging, and a little gritty. I love to get a good sweat on, push past limits, and leave that room feeling charged with accomplishment. You can expect to hear hard hitting inspiring beats, but I’m a true rocker chick at heart, so don’t be surprised when you hear my favorite rock/alternative originals and remixes make their way into my playlist!
What is your idea of the perfect day?
• Day off from the office • Sleeping in • Hot cup of perfectly brewed coffee • YYC Cycle Class (Of course) • Walk/Bike ride with my Hubby and our two boys • Cooking dinner together • Family movie night with lots of snacks • Nice bottle of wine for Mom and Dad to enjoy!

Words you live by?
“The journey is the joy…climb more mountains, eat more ice cream, go barefoot oftener, count more stars, swim more rivers, watch more sunsets, laugh more and cry less. Life must be lived as we go along” (Robert J. Hastings).

What motivates you about being a motivator?
I have loved spin since the first time Ive ever tried it, I was instantly addicted. Spin is a workout that changes your body but doesn't feel like a chore to go to. The energy that spring generates is so contagious and it helps people achieve their fitness goals while having fun and making friends and who doesn't want more friends?!

How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
My style of class would be heavy, lots of climbs and hovers, I love songs that are easy to find the beat and always throwing in a sweet 80's remix.

What's the best trip you've been on?
The best trip I have ever been on was driving 38 hours and spending 3 weeks in Alaska

- What motivates you about being a Motivator?
The connections made in that room: on the bike, with yourself, with your neighbour, with each other - that's the good stuff.
It ain't always easy to make the choice to spend a little time for you, but once you clip in, focus up and start connecting to that place of power, the fire is lit. The energy we build together in that room elevates us outside those four walls and connects us within. Also, all the sweaty hugs and high fives.

- How would you describe your classes at YYC Cycle? Sweaty as hell with a soundtrack that won't quit. Plenty of high energy tracks and heavy drops to get that fire burning and your energy hyped with everything from hip hop, alternative, country, remixes and EDM. Every class is designed to leave us all feeling a little lighter, a lot stronger and a hell of a lot happier (tired happy still counts!).

One thing to know: I love a good mixtape almost as much as I love a good theme party so keep those peepers peeled on that schedule for the chance to combine the two for a good ol' fashioned theme ride (think anything from Jay & Bey to Big Shiny Tunes to Country Jams to Reggae Remixed...the world is our oyster).

- Favourite Holiday:
I like Stampede, I love Christmas but I think Halloween is legit the most wonderful time of the year.

Quote of the Day:
"'They' say a lot of things. Don't do 'they'. Do you." - Russell Westbrook
