What motivates you about being a motivator?
The People, The Biker Gang! The people in a room make an enormous impact on the energy in the space. I will always give 200% of myself on that bike and I love love love feeling that energy, commitment, power, and fire back from the biker gang throughout the ride. I love that each of us has our own unique journey or individual story, and we all still come together and ride those 50 minutes as one group, one community--that really inspires me. Being able to lose yourself in the music and let everything go, that is the beginning of growth and change. The ability to be on the bike with you all and kill that beat and of course DANCE it out together!….Just a few reasons why I love being a motivator :)
How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
Music PUMPING, Lights BLAZING, Sweat DRIPPING, Energy on FIRE, and Dancing on that bike! WOO! I would for sure say that my class is based on music, I LOVE a sick beat. I always promise to deliver music that will let you sing along to your favourite top 40’s remixes and also allow you to lose yourself in new tracks. Theres a time in my class for each and everyone of you! Wether its Dancing our butts off throughout the ride on the bike, an arm burning weight track, a sing along to tracks we all know, discovering and chasing that beat with some new top 40’s or EDM remixes, or a quiet moment for reflection and growth—There is a time for everyone in my class! The time is now, Lets ride y’all!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

What motivates you about being on the YYC CYCLE Crew?
One of the most powerful things a person can do is motivate, encourage and uplift others to be the best versions of themselves. At YYC Cycle I am able to fulfill that aspiration every time I walk through the doors. Being granted the ability to work and meet new people in a positive and electric atmosphere is my biggest motivating force. I enjoy surrounding myself with the type of people that ignite a fire within me and in return I hope I can spark a flame within them. For me, the biggest success is being able to grow and learn each day, being pushed mentally and physically and most of all just having fun making the best of every day!

If you could know the answer to any question, besides "what is the meaning of life?", what would it be?

What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
Ultimately, being a YYC motivator provides me with the ability to contribute to a community that positively infiltrates my life everyday. I strive to create an alternate reality with no restrictions and no judgment, but simply infectious energy. I cherish each and every relationship fostered within four sweaty walls and I am blessed to be able to promote the fundamental foundation of fitness, movement.
How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
Throwing in the towel, without it getting sweaty is not an option in my class. I provide the YYC bikergang with the perfect variety if spin culture. I have a passion for music and find myself getting lost in the beat and you will too while pushing to your absolute limits. My goal is to connect with each and every biker gang member and inspire you to reach the brink of absolute fatigue while leaving the room refueled and refreshed.
Name one item you can always find in your gym bag?
A brown, squishy banana (great source of potassium).
Things you can't live without?
David's Tea, my glasses (for safety reasons) & a fuzzy blanket.

What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
To have the opportunity to give someone the same experience that got me hooked on spin myself, as a rider. Spin literally changed my life, and it gives me goosebumps to think that I've been given the platform to be a catalyst of change in the lives of the bikergang!

How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
The 50 minutes you'll spend with me are extremely energetic and fun, while at the same time hard hitting, intense and challenging. We will be able forget about our stressful day, week or month together, and push ourselves to the limit. All this, while remembering to have a few laughs and to never take ourselves too seriously. We will walk out of the room a stronger, happier (and sweatier) version of ourselves.

What is something the bikergang doesn't know about you?
That my hair colour is natural, I've never dyed it (I could write an ENTIRE book of blonde jokes... I've heard them all)

If you were a ice cream flavour, what would you be?
Obviously rainbow superhero - it's clearly delicious, I love the bright colours, and I never take myself (or anything, for that matter) too seriously...

What motivates you about being a motivator?
You. Connection. Strength. Empowerment. Sweat. The journey on the bike is a simple metaphor for so many things. Riding leads me to mega (inner) peace. It is 45 minutes of firey, wild, badass meditation.

How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
Energy, presence and joy dialed on high. Doubt, judgement and fear on off. Real hard, real fun, and real good vibes.

What motivates me about being a motivator?
Simply - the opportunity to give. Not often in life are you granted the environment and platform to harness such raw and powerful energy. The intrinsic passion of motivating is not only the impact I hope to have on others, but the impact I wish to receive from every individual.

How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
The tipping point between physical limit and personal achievement. Harnessing inner strength through a high energy, fun, and engaging experience.

Is it criminal to wear socks and sandals?
It’s a crime if you don’t own Birkenstocks paired with socks

What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
The first time I came to YYC Cycle, I felt exhausted from my work day, very intimidated, and to be completely honest, apprehensive about walking into the spin room altogether. Although I’m sure I wasn’t on beat (at all), and just generally all over the place, I left the studio with a big smile on my face and way more energy than I had walking in. I remember feeling inspired, and I was hooked instantly! Whenever I’m having a bad day or stressful week, I can always count on that time inside the spin room to reflect and unwind, and come out of class a stronger person with a better perspective. YYC Cycle is so much more to me than just a workout studio, and if someone left one of my classes feeling the same way, I’d be so happy.

How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
Fun, upbeat, and energetic with a few heavy grinds in between. I love a lot of different music genres, so there’ll always be a good mix of tunes. It’s important that you feel challenged in that spin room but still walk out proud of what you accomplished.

Favourite Food?
Guacamole! I even own a shirt that says “Guac This Way”.

Which fictional TV character are you?
Charlotte from Sex and the City – Optimistic, Sensible, Sweet-Natured, and I love a good Fit & Flare skirt or dress.

What motivates me about being a motivator?
Spin is my therapy! When I finish a class I'm inspired with a sense of electricity that motivates me through my not so easy work days and I want to be able l provide an energy or space to instil that feeling in others.

How would you describe your style of class at YYC?
Sweaty. ;) I love throwing in some unexpected country tracks and focus on the music that makes the heart smile. Always challenging that beat!

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
Scotland. The history in that country just blows my mind and I think it would be magical!!

What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
The fact that regardless of your fitness level, the Bikergang can come together in one room with no judgement and just rock it out. We are all in that room for different reasons and have different goals but at the end of the day, we are there to support and elevate each other! I LOVE that I have the opportunity to motivate the Bikergang and make them stronger than they were yesterday!

How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
It’s all about the sweat and the bumpin’ beats. Challenging and intense, but pretty much just a massive dance party that will leave you shaking your booty all the way home.

What's your guilty pleasure?
Wine. I know you thought I was going to say nachos, but I’m convinced nachos are a part of a healthy diet. Therefore, no guilt from me when I’m inhaling a huge plate of ‘chos ;)

If you could swim in any liquid, what would it be?
COFFEE!!! Is this a thing?!? If not, can we make it a thing??

What Motivates you about being a Motivator?
If I can get you from A to B, then I’m f** game - I don’t care how long/how hard it takes, or what your A/B looks like. A wise guy once told me that if I gave him 100%, he’d give me 200% back, and it’s given me this platform to do the same for the biker gang. No more excuses - LET’S GO!

How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
If you could bring A$AP Rocky, The Chainsmokers, and Diplo to a house party, make a slow-motion montage of cheers-ing solo cups (Swell Bottles), and end with an energizing heart-to-heart (you know, the backyard/spare room/brand new BBF ones)... but you’re really sweaty the whole time.

What's your guilty pleasure?
McDonalds. But it's not even guilty, it's an embraced lifestyle.

What's the best relationship advice you've been given?
It's not about the price tags, it's about the experiences. I've never seen the value in a fancy dinner (also in having my plate of food in arm's reach of someone else), and I've always treasured the adventures I've shared.

What motivates you to be a motivator?
The positive vibes, powerful energy and courage that are brought together by the Bikergang. When I first step foot into YYC Cycle in Sep'15, I had a little evil named “fear” in me. I didn’t know what to expect, wasn’t sure if I would physically/mentally be able to handle the intensity of it. I just wasn’t sure how far of my comfort zone I was getting away from, given that I never even grew up riding a bike! That 50 minutes changed my life! Within that class, I danced to the beat of the sick tracks, almost fell off a bike (Yes. That happened.), fist pumped to other Bikergang who were here for the same reasons ( sweat | be proud | laugh ), was inspired and motivated to surpass my imaginary limit and I came out feeling more energetic, up-lifted and happy than ever. I want to share that same feeling with each and every Bikergang who come through those doors. Letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be or what we’re supposed to do and spend that 50 minutes embracing who we are and what we need to do for ourselves. This is what matters to me.

How would you describe your classes at YYC CYCLE?
Cardio crusher, core strength builder and busting a laugh while doing that! A mix of EDM, drum&bass, hip-hop and old school remix will make you want to get off the saddle and dance! You are expected to show up and surpass your limit every time. And the best part is, we’re doing it together!
