life is crazy. 50 minutes in a dark room, full of like-minded people sometimes isn’t enough. But maybe it’s all we need sometimes.

YYC is my place to let-go and just “be”, and give everything I have to that bike. Sometimes, just showing up is the hardest part and I want to do everything I can in that room to help us all tap into every second that we can. Wether it be a joke to make you forget about your day or a heavy hard grind to make you remember how hard you are working, in and out of the studio, we are in this together. We will walk out that door with our heads held high, stronger than yesterday and maybe with a new favourite country song... ;)

Connecting the community through music and good vibes. The incredible energy, hustle, and sweat shared in the space is indescribable. Being able to get lost in a complete mental meditation of music and driving to the beat - it was love at first spin.

We all have our struggles and need to have a positive outlet to push through them. YYC Cycle is the perfect platform for people to come together, sweat it out and come out of there changed for the better! To have the chance to be on that front bike and meet some amazing people all while being a positive influence on them while I share my passion for music and spin is an honour! So basically, I get to be weird, dance on a bike and bring positivity to people's lives! How amazing is that?!!?

I’m inspired by the Bikergang, hands down. There are completely different battles that each member of YYC Cycle faces each day, and whether I’m aware or not, you can tell when someone has a victory in class. From the hooting and hollering during a powerful moment, to noticing a towel wipe away the sweat (or tears) - we’re all fighting for something.

What inspires me is connection. No one makes it on their own. The connections and friendships I have experienced through spin are the strongest and some of the most meaningful connections in my life. Outside of an incredible workout – spin has evolved for me as an opportunity to reset and focus on priorities. I value each spin class as a unique opportunity to provide the Bikergang with the tools to develop a new level of mental and physical strength.

Our YYC Cycle Community – I am inspired everyday by the people I am surrounded by at the studios and find myself constantly striving to be a better person because of them. The very first time I came to YYC Cycle, I felt exhausted from my work day, intimidated, and to be completely honest, apprehensive about walking into the spin room altogether. Although I’m sure I wasn’t on beat (at all), and just generally all over the place, I left the studio with a big smile on my face and way more energy than I had walking in. I remember feeling motivated, and I was hooked instantly! Whenever I’m having a bad day or a stressful week, I can always count on that time inside the spin room to reflect and unwind and come out of class a stronger person with a better perspective. YYC Cycle is so much more to me than just a workout studio, and if someone left one of my classes feeling the same way, I’d be so happy.

What inspires me is the incredible and powerful people that I get to share energy and space with on the bike and in that room. We all have a story. Each one as powerful and meaningful as the person next to you. I am inspired by the platform that we can create together in that room, to encourage each other to step into our potential. To get out of our own way. To celebrate how far we have already come, and to push ourselves to accomplish more than we could have imagined. For me, the spin room has become a place to connect, to grow, to overcome, to let go, to heal, to build courage, strength, and passion. To celebrate ourselves, as we are.

Over the last five years, I’ve been able to share this incredible platform with over 40,000 riders, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

I am inspired by the connection and community that has been created in our studios. People from all walks of life come through our doors - everybody for a different reason - but when we come together, it creates magic in that room that can’t be contained. We rally together to lift each other up, push boundaries, and overcome something bigger than that bike.

To live is to go on an adventure, break through the impossible and embrace every moment with positivity, abundance, and love. And every ride is just that. No matter where we came from, we are here to find happiness and gratitude. For me, I’m the happiest when I give it my all, to myself, to the Bikergang and to the universe. And I want to share that same feeling with each and every Bikergang who walk through those doors. Letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be, or what we’re supposed to do and spend that 50 minutes embracing who we are and what we need to do for ourselves. This is what matters to me.

Our Bikergang! The unbelievable people that make up our Bikergang community are truly inspiring to me. Each person that steps foot in that room brings a unique energy, happiness, soulfulness, determination, and drive that culminates into one massive unstoppable force, that I feel utterly privileged to be part of.

We motivate with the ultimate hope to inspire the Bikergang… No matter where you are in life or how busy you are, you can choose to make physical fitness a priority. We are passionate about the gigantic health benefits and we want to share this passion! We get excited when we think about impacting others so much so that they make a positive change in their life! Fit people are happy people! We love coming together as a community and sweating together. We don’t take ourselves too seriously – we laugh often, pump out the high-powered tunes, push hard and get it done as a team.

Being in a position to positively impact and invoke change through Spin is an incredible blessing.

I really resonate with the idea of Opportunity. Everyday is an opportunity, and every time we ride is an opportunity for something within yourself. It could be as simple as just wanting a good honest sweat, something for your personal or physical goals, or something for more mental focus, drive, or release. There is no right or wrong answer, It just comes down to you making a commitment to yourself.

Everyone has their own reason for being in that room, and no one needs to know you’re individual 'why' to feel an honest and real connection within the room if you give yourself permission to fully show up, but thats an opportunity; and that choice is up to you.

There is a time for everyone in my class, a quick track out of the saddle filled with choreography, a focused climb track, a feel good top 40’s track, an arm burning weight track, a quiet moment for reflection and release, or a banger feel good track to seal the deal.

Whatever your reason, Make the choice for yourself, and lets do it.

See you on the bike :)

I was really drawn into the spin culture because of it's high energy, the positive vibe, the flashy lights, and that amazing uplifting feeling every time I left that room. I love the fact that we are all different people with different fitness levels and different intentions in the room as to why we spin and but we all come together in the room to ride as one. What I like most when teaching a class is that I am able to share the energy in the room with other members of the Bikergang to create such a powerful ride

I believe that we are beyond lucky to not only be alive, but also to have our health. On top of that, having the means to do all the amazing and fun things that we do in life is such a gift. That being said, life happens, and it is often far too easy to take this for granted when times get tough, and the negativity and stress begins to build up. Enter – YYC Cycle!

Spin at YYC Cycle have gotten me through some of my toughest struggles and darkest periods of my life, and for that, I am forever grateful. No matter what is going on outside the doors, I can honestly say that I walk out of every single class feeling better, happier, stronger and more energetic than when I walked in. Having the opportunity to now be a Motivator not only is therapy for me, but gives me the chance to provide this therapy for those around me. We are all fighting different battles outside of the studio, but when we are in there together, none of that matters. Whether it is for an escape from life’s stress 50 minutes, a great sweat, discovering a new song they like, seeing themselves improve from last class, or having a laugh at my inability to talk due to spin brain (or cat story), this place is complete magic for both the Bikergang and us MOs.
