We all have our struggles and need to have a positive outlet to push through them. YYC Cycle is the perfect platform for people to come together, sweat it out and come out of there changed for the better! To have the chance to be on that front bike and meet some amazing people all while being a positive influence on them while I share my passion for music and spin is an honour! So basically, I get to be weird, dance on a bike and bring positivity to people's lives! How amazing is that?!!?
I’m inspired by the people who come to class and fight through. The stories that are shared after a class light me up. I know sometimes life outside of YYC’s walls is hectic and can beat us up. It’s inspiring to see the amazing community we’ve built, the support for one another, and the determination shown by the Bikergang to give it everything they’ve got for 50 minutes.
Health is wealth! Connection and activity are so important for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Sweating it out with the #bikergang always brings good vibes and endorphins that keep me coming back for more!
I am a huge promoter of health and fitness! It is not only my everyday job as a personal trainer but also a passion of mine to help guide others through their fitness journeys. Too many of us go through life thinking “I wonder what could have been…”. Don’t give yourself the opportunity to ask “what if”?. No matter what your personal goals are or reasoning for coming to YYC Cycle, we are all a community, a family. We are here to learn, develop and break boundaries together. My favorite ways to motivate the biker gang is to get them through the tough parts of the 50-minute class by pushing them outside of their comfort zones. I find most people are much stronger than they think they are. They have to choose to change their mind to let physical and mental strength come through and I find that the most inspiring feeling as a motivator when you see the hunger and determination in their eyes.
I was really drawn into the spin culture because of its high energy, the positive vibe, the flashy lights, and that amazing uplifting feeling every time I left that room. I love the fact that we are all different people with different fitness levels and different intentions in the room as to why we spin and but we all come together in the room to ride as one. What I like most when teaching a class is that I am able to share the energy in the room with other members of the Bikergang to create such a powerful ride.
I look forward to being right there alongside our Bikergang as they achieve their goals, conquer their fears, and become the best version of themselves. I want to help and inspire people to live their lives to the fullest!
You’re only one workout away from a good mood. Regardless of what hit the fan during the day, come see some smiling faces in the studio, turn that red knob to the right, and get real sweaty. I want every class to feel like a rapper’s yacht party….Jay-Z, Kendrick, Drake, the gang’s all here.
I’ve sought to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle since losing my dad to a preventable heart disease. Being a motivator provides me the opportunity to meet and learn from people that share my passion for health and wellness. Every time I walk into YYC Cycle, I am reminded that we are all fighting our own battles: it's not just about a spin class, it's about personal development in a multitude of ways. I am honoured and humbled to be part of a community that facilitates positive growth and offers a sense of belonging to anyone and everyone that walks into the studio.
Our YYC Cycle Community – I am inspired everyday by the people I am surrounded by at the studios and find myself constantly striving to be a better person because of them. The very first time I came to YYC Cycle, I felt exhausted from my work day, intimidated, and to be completely honest, apprehensive about walking into the spin room altogether. Although I’m sure I wasn’t on beat (at all), and just generally all over the place, I left the studio with a big smile on my face and way more energy than I had walking in. I remember feeling motivated, and I was hooked instantly! Whenever I’m having a bad day or a stressful week, I can always count on that time inside the spin room to reflect and unwind and come out of class a stronger person with a better perspective. YYC Cycle is so much more to me than just a workout studio, and if someone left one of my classes feeling the same way, I’d be so happy.
The collective energy that I get to share with the bikergang as we push boundaries and create new opportunities for change.
Music is my life and my career. The tracks I choose are often for a very specific reason. I might choose a song to peak your interest, target a particular move on the bike, strengthen an area of the body, test your endurance, and get you to deepen that mind-body connection. Even when the hustle happens, the right music can encourage introspection and when we examine our own processes, we can keep what is helping us, and ditch what is no longer serving us.

What inspires me inside our studio is the same as what inspires me beyond those four walls: vulnerability, passion, and happiness. Every week I look forward to shakin’ the sh*t outta those four walls with a dedicated crew willing to step outside their comfort zone to make something amazing happen. How you ride your bike is how you live your life. Spin has never been about pushing pedals for me; it’s always about putting one foot in front of the other. Where else do you get to share a space with a room full of people all moving towards the same goal? There is nothing more motivating (and humbling) than being part of someone’s smile.
Our Bikergang! The unbelievable people that make up our Bikergang community are truly inspiring to me. Each person that steps foot in that room brings a unique energy, happiness, soulfulness, determination, and drive that culminates into one massive unstoppable force, that I feel utterly privileged to be part of.
I really resonate with the idea of Opportunity. Everyday is an opportunity, and every time we ride is an opportunity for something within yourself. It could be as simple as just wanting a good honest sweat, something for your personal or physical goals, or something for more mental focus, drive, or release. There is no right or wrong answer, It just comes down to you making a commitment to yourself.
Everyone has their own reason for being in that room, and no one needs to know you’re individual 'why' to feel an honest and real connection within the room if you give yourself permission to fully show up, but thats an opportunity; and that choice is up to you.
There is a time for everyone in my class, a quick track out of the saddle filled with choreography, a focused climb track, a feel good top 40’s track, an arm burning weight track, a quiet moment for reflection and release, or a banger feel good track to seal the deal.
Whatever your reason, Make the choice for yourself, and lets do it.
See you on the bike :)
